Maintaining a cool head is one of the prime requirements when it comes to supervising and executing a rescue operation on the open sea. And, naturally, that is not all. In this course you will learn all the ins and outs connected with exercising the function of master or chief officer with complete confidence, including in such instances as rescue operations.
What will you learn?
In the course you will be trained, both theoretically and practically to master the function of On-Scene Coordinator. The programme includes dealing with realistic scenarios at the bridge simulator.
What are the prerequisites?
Knowledge of GMDSS procedures, navigation and radar/ARPA are requirements for taking part in the course. You have this knowledge if you are in possession of valid General Operators Certificate GMDSS and Radar Navigator STCW Certificates.

Those who complete the course successfully will receive the recognised On-Scene Coordinator Certificate. The certificate is recognised by the NOGEPA under code 3.1. The Nova College Maritime Academy is authorised to enter the course locally in the muster-book and the personal safety logbook.
The fee for the course is € 1156, including instruction material, certificate, coffee/tea and lunch.
